Do you remember…

The first moment you heard the words of the song “Jesus Loves Me”
– and knew the message was for you?

The first moment you gave your broken life to Jesus, watched Him pick up the pieces and begin to rebuild?

The first moment you discovered Him as your resurrected Savior?

The first moment you
experienced His comfort as you cried,
felt His peace in your turmoil,
watched your sorrow disappear to make way for joy?

The first moment your chains of confusion and sadness fell to the floor?

The first moment you raised your hands and sang, “I am free!”?

The first moment scripture came alive and brought hope?

The first moment His rod and His staff gave you comfort?

The first moment you realized His holiness, saw His power at work in your life?

It’s important to move forward while remembering the excitement and exuberance you felt when love was fresh and life was new.

Easter is about the first moment.

Remember the first moment you…
Knew He was who He said He was, not who you thought he was?
Saw Him as the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world?
Saw Him as the Crucified Lord?
Accepted Him as Lord of your life?
Saw Him as the Risen Lord?
Saw Him as the triumphant King of Kings?

As we come to the Palm Sunday service, add your song of Hosanna to those who watched His triumphal entry.

Come to the Good Friday Service and experience communion with a sense of expectation.

Think about the first moment you realized it was your sins that took Jesus to the cross... and the relief you felt that because of His obedience and His sacrifice you were forgiven.

Anticipate the resurrection of our Lord.

Let your heart race as you hear the drum roll in your mind, wait for the clash of the cymbals, listen for the blast of the trumpet as in the first moment the King of kings and Lord of lords bursts forth alive.

The first moment the dead is raised to life.

The first moment the beaten and bruised and belittled is restored!

The first moment the Promised One fulfills His promise!
